Digitisation and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) to Enhance Care for Youth with Congenital Anomalies: A Training Program for Healthcare Workers in Delivering Psychosocial Interventions
Summary
Goal: What do you want to achieve by implementing the project?
The project is developing a one-day training course and a micro-merit course (27 hours) for healthcare professionals, focusing on digitization and the use of VR technology for psychosocial interventions aimed at young people with congenital anomalies. Based on the significant need within the EU for accessible psychosocial interventions, the initiative aims to strengthen the competence of healthcare professionals and address the current lack of such interventions in the EU. This will, in turn, offer families and young people more interactive and high-quality psychosocial support.
Implementation: What activities will you carry out?
The project will bring together higher education institutions, hospitals, and non-profit organizations in close collaboration to develop a psychosocial training program for healthcare professionals, with a particular focus on equality, diversity, inclusion, and digitalization. The project activities are to:
(i) develop,
(ii) test,
(iii) implement, and
(iv) disseminate the developed training for healthcare professionals.
The training will enable healthcare professionals to carry out psychosocial interventions using VR technology for young people with CA.
Results: What project results and other effects do you expect the project to have?
